Shopping with Teenagers

Jenna needed someone to take her and her friends to Target to go buy another friend, Amy, a present for her birthday.  As you can imagine it was quite an event...

The girls found swords to play with.

I bought a window marker for the kids to use in the winter to draw snowflakes on our windows, but then Jenna discovered the marker and asked if she could use it.  Before I knew it she was writing all over my car window.

Jenna is fascinated with a show...can you guess what it's called?...yes, that's it, "Psych".

of course she was having such a great time, her friends wanted to have a turn...

Afterwards the girls picked Friendlys' for dinner.

As you can see (among other things), they got Amy a pinata and decided to stuff it while we were in Friendly's waiting for the food.

The next morning Jenna and Izzy go to school early to stuff Amy's locker with the pinata and to decorate her Advisor class (with permission of course).  I offered to help in case Izzy and Abby didn't show up in time...Izzy showed...and of course they goofed around while decorating.

Jenna and Izzy are obsessed with mustaches...how something like that can be a fad is beyond me, but it's the big thing these days.

My cousins daughter, Sasha, plays volleyball as I did in high school.  We were finally able to make it to one of her games.

oh the memories...how I miss playing.

That's my cousin, Peter, coaching.

Warm Day in March.

We had an exceptionally warm day in March while the kids were on break so Rob and I took a day off and decided to go to the beach.  It so happens that our friend Bob was there with his girls, Chaylee and Evelyn, so we met them down there but he said he wasn't as warm down at the beach. It was a bit windy and cloudy but we made the best of it.  Bob and his girls had kites so we flew kites...

Look at the concentration.

Then the kids searched for crabs...

Then the football began...

Our football girl...

minus the wet sand...look at that face...

 then we took a walk...

this is what we walked to...it was interesting trying to see and to try and figure out what this use to be...I love to see old pictures, building, etc. and try to imagine what they use to be...

To the right of this partial building was a bunch of rocks and Rob and the girls went digging for more crabs.  What a day.

This took forever to post because there are pictures on my camera that I wanted to add but didn't so I thought I'd better just post this.  They'll have to go in my scrapbook.
