Drive-in.

One day we only had 1 child, Alyssa (which seems to be happening a lot more lately (and will be happening  even more very shortly)).  We decided to go to the drive-in.  Alyssa tried to invite a friend but no one could make it so just the three of us went.  We went to see Ice Age: Continental Drift and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days.
The three of us sat in the truck this time around.  It was such a nice time but strange to have just the three of us.  If anything we are usually going with other people so there are a few of us.  We're going to have to get use just the three of us.  :(

Graduation Evening.

After graduation one of Jenna's friend's mother put together a gathering for the Bubette's (Jenna's group of friends-more on the name another time).  She put together a wonderful evening at The Grist Mill (which burnt down 1 1/2 weeks later).  The Grist Mill has been around for a long time so it was so sad to see it burn down, but there is talk of rebuilding...we hope so.

365 - In Water.

My first 365 Post!  Yay!!  So how this will work, I'll add the title 365 and the subject from the inspiration list.  Today's is In Water.  You can see the list and how it works on my first post or @ captureyour365.com.

This was taken @ Hammonasset Beach in CT.  We met my husband's brother & family (probably to pick up Alyssa).  Our families just love the beach!  Alyssa is the 2nd from the left, jumping in.

Jenna's 8th Grade Graduation.

Jenna's graduation (as all of Gordon's graduations) fell when I attended the yearly payroll conference.  So I skipped out a little early from the conference to get home in time to bring Jenna to her hair appointment and to buy her preferred flower.
The school asks all 8th graders to bring in a flower to contribute to a large vase and then they set the vase on stage prior to the ceremony.  It turns out looking like a huge beautiful bouquet.

The hairdo done at the salon.  Jenna searched online for hair styles and found a couple then we went to the salon and she looked through books and got advise from the hair stylist and with her advise they agreed on the following...

They procession in following a bagpiper (you can see him on the left) onto the stage.

and they had a class song they sang, "Long Live"~Taylor Swift

and their advisor says a few words about each students; a special saying they've picked out.

The after pictures tomorrow.
